Social Media Campaign

Client:

Wisconsin Center For Wildlife; Social Media for the Life Sciences (UW-Madison)

Worked with a team of five students to create a social media campaign for the Wisconsin Center for Wildlife.

I offered to focus on graphics and assist with the strategic report, while they focused on the writing.

Year:

2025

Design

I came up with the "Tracks & Facts" approach to increase new engagement. The WCW didn't have any existing social media, so drawing people in with fun, game-like graphics was an ideal tactic.

We received a color palette and font requirements for the social media graphics. We also had to include the WCW and UW-Madison logos. I also applied the same design to our report.

I researched relevant animals for Wisconsin Wildlife to create the infographic portions and utilized AI for the Instagram captions and hashtags for reach and engagement.

Application

While this was a hypothetical project, the WCW liked our strategy and asked for the social media files that will hopefully be used to build their media accounts as intended by us.

Strategy

The campaign's goal is to strengthen the public's connection to Wisconsin's ecosystems by sharing clear, visually engaging content about animal tracks and the species that leave them. This focus fills a gap in current wildlife communication by turning tracks into practical learning tools. The campaign helps audiences link what they see in nature with meaningful knowledge about behavior, habitat, and local ecology.
